“Tenuta Maranna” and the history of the company
“Tenuta Maranna” is placed on the slopes of a hill overlooking Alberobello, UNESCO world heritage site, which is famous all over the world for its unique and characteristic dwellings called “Trulli”. Alberobello is 5 km far from Valle d’Itria and it is situated about 500 meters above sea level, approximately 20 km from the Adriatic Sea and 40 km from the Ionian Sea. Thanks to its privileged position, the town enjoys a mild climate and benefits from clean air and unspoiled landscapes.
“Tenuta Maranna” is immersed in this enchanting atmosphere, surrounded by orchards and vineyards which are not excessively wide; this is why our company processes the grapes harvested in the surroundings, too. Moreover, the ripening of the grape is monitored by expert winegrowers and agronomists.
The first wine of “Tenuta Maranna” was produced in 2008, then bottled in 2009 and an expert and professional enologist dedicated great care and attention to it. Anyway, the vineyards had been carefully cultivated and supervised since 2006, before bottling the first wine. The Casulli family, devoted to the cultivation of land for centuries, has selected the finest grapes thanks to their expertise and experience, in order to meet the needs of their demanding clients.
Nowadays, “Tenuta Maranna” proposes two white wines and five red wines.
